Audit Senior – Durban

About the role

Resource Plus is seeking a motivated Audit Senior to join its hybrid team in Durban. This role offers international exposure while working South African hours, allowing you to collaborate with clients both locally and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Uphold client compliance with policies, auditing standards and regulations while identifying and managing risks.
• Plan, execute and deliver audit engagements on schedule.
• Analyse financial data, records, reports and statements.
• Maintain a deep understanding of clients' industries and sectors.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with clients and internal teams.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and implement tangible changes.
• Keep financial databases, including audit findings, up‑to‑date.
• Provide internal training and mentor junior staff, reinforcing firm values.

Required profile

• South African citizenship.
• CTA qualification (BCom Accounting Honours) and a BCom Accounting degree.
• ITC qualification is advantageous.
• High stress tolerance, strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective interpersonal and team‑management skills.
• Proficient communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
