Are you a driven corporate commercial lawyer ready to take the next step in your legal career? Our client, a respected medium‑sized law firm in Sandton, is seeking a Junior Associate to join its dynamic Mergers & Acquisitions team. This role offers the chance to work on high‑value corporate transactions in a fast‑paced professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior attorneys in M&A transactions, corporate restructures and commercial matters.
• Conduct legal research, prepare due‑diligence reports and draft commercial agreements and transactional documents.
• Attend client consultations and negotiations, providing proactive legal support.
• Contribute to business development and strengthen client relationships.
• Stay abreast of corporate law, company regulations and evolving market trends.

Required profile

• LLB degree and admission as an attorney in South Africa.
• 1–3 years post‑articles experience or newly admitted attorney in corporate commercial and/or M&A law.
• Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Confident communicator, team player and detail‑oriented professional.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with legal research platforms.
