About the role
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in driving sales, controlling expenses and minimizing stock loss while delivering excellent customer service at JD Sports, Canal Walk.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with stock take, store administration and cash handling procedures.
- Monitor and analyse stock movement, implement risk‑management to reduce shrinkage.
- Ensure compliance with administration, reporting and visual merchandising standards.
- Process customer transactions using the POS system and promote loyalty programmes.
- Lead recruitment, staff development and maintain a safe, secure store environment.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Minimum three years retail or administrative experience.
- Strong interest in fashion trends and customer‑focused sales.
Required skills
- Proficiency with POS (point‑of‑sale) systems.
- Good administration and organisational abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced retail environment.
