Assistant Operations Manager – Gauteng

About the role

Stor‑Age is seeking enthusiastic Assistant Operations Managers to work in the greater Gauteng area. You will drive sales, deliver exceptional front‑line customer service and support the operations team in a fast‑growing self‑storage environment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to incoming customer enquiries via phone, chat and in‑person.
• Assist customers with renting self‑storage units, selling packaging and handling related financial and administrative tasks.
• Build rapport with prospects, close rental sales and administer customer accounts.
• Provide accurate information about self‑storage products and services.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints while delivering superior service.
• Collaborate with the operations staff as part of a cohesive team.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Proven sales orientation with a track record of closing deals.
• Strong customer‑facing experience across face‑to‑face, chat and telephone channels.
• Attention to detail in administrative tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Own transport and a valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to work 45 hours per week over a 5.5‑day schedule.
• Residence close to the advertised area.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Point‑of‑sale (POS) system proficiency.

What we offer

• Market‑related salary between R12 000 and R15 000 per month.
• Incentive‑based commission on top of the base salary.
