Assistant Online Merchandiser

About the role

Yassir is looking for an Assistant Online Merchandiser to shape the digital shelf within its app. Based in Johannesburg, you will maintain category structures, curate visual modules and ensure product information is accurate and appealing.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain clear category trees, filters and tags, enforcing naming standards.
• Curate home, search and category modules, keeping images, titles and bullets consistent with brand guidelines.
• Optimize search ranking, synonyms and typo handling to reduce zero‑result queries.
• Set up promotions, bundles and promo badges with clear eligibility and tracking.
• Configure recommendation widgets for cross‑sell and upsell to lift average order value.
• Validate stock and delivery SLAs with Inventory and Operations, flagging supply gaps early.
• Publish content in the CMS/PIM using a strict QA checklist and meet calendar deadlines.
• Track daily KPIs such as module CTR, add‑to‑cart and conversion rates.

Required profile

• Based in Johannesburg and available Monday‑Friday 08:00‑17:00.
• Willing to provide occasional after‑hours or weekend support for campaign launches.

Required skills

• Experience with a CMS or PIM platform.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with Slack and Jira for collaboration.
• Ability to work with analytics dashboards.
