Assistant Factory Controller – Manufacturing Accounting

About the role

Nestlé SA is seeking an Assistant Factory Controller to join its Harrismith manufacturing site. You will provide accurate costing support, variance analysis, and financial insight to help the factory meet its corporate and division objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed product costings, weekly/monthly variance reports, and standard cost budgets.
• Support new product development teams with feasibility costings.
• Ensure compliance with Nestlé accounting policies and audit guidelines.
• Educate shop‑floor staff on SAP usage to improve material and labour control.
• Maintain data integrity in SAP, manage write‑offs of obsolete materials, and handle petty‑cash disbursement.
• Produce monthly raw and packing material working‑capital reports and monitor factory fixed costs.
• Assist the Factory Controller with decision‑support analyses such as “what‑if” scenarios and EBA calculations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing accounting, preferably in FMCG or a similar environment.
• Strong compliance orientation and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.

• SAP (financial modules).
