About the role
Bestmed Medical Scheme is seeking detail‑loving, organised team players to keep the medicine authorisation process running smoothly. As an Assistant DUR you will capture medicines on the authorisation system, meet service level agreements and handle queries related to medicine authorisations and claims.
Key responsibilities
- Capture medicines accurately on the medicine authorisation system for Drug Utilisation Review (DUR).
- Ensure all medicines requiring DUR are captured within the agreed SLA.
- Attend to email queries relating to medicine authorisations and claims.
- Handle telephonic queries relating to medicine authorisations and claims.
- Provide accurate and efficient support to ensure timely processing of authorisations and claims.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year experience capturing medicines in a DUR/PBM environment.
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Basic or Post‑Basic Pharmacist Assistant certification.
- Active SAPC membership.
