Asset Care Engineer

About the role

Pragma is seeking an Asset Care Engineer to support clients across private and public sectors in asset management. You will work either on‑site at a client location or from our head office, applying industry best practices to optimise maintenance and reliability of physical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve asset management and maintenance processes aligned with client objectives.
• Identify and execute opportunities to enhance maintenance performance and asset reliability using structured problem‑solving methods.
• Deliver training on Pragma’s software and applications and create related training materials.
• Define, generate and analyse performance reports, KPIs and dashboards for informed decision‑making.
• Provide ad‑hoc client support, lead improvement projects and facilitate on‑site meetings.
• Manage contractors, service providers and maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification (BEng, BTech or N‑Diploma).
• At least 1 year of practical maintenance experience in the mining industry (advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years experience as an Asset Care Engineer or Reliability Engineer.
• Exposure to project management methodology and experience delivering training.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of OHSA, ISO standards, risk assessments and safe work procedures.
