Assembler – Heavy Duty Trucks Production

About the role

Join Volvo Trucks as an Assembler and contribute to the production of heavy‑duty trucks that shape sustainable transport solutions. You will work on an assembly line following Volvo Production System standards, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble vehicles and sub‑components in line with plant SQCDP targets and sprint instructions.
• Perform 5S housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Maintain tooling and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety regulations, reporting any deviations immediately.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen and Gemba events.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification with Mathematics and Science.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar production setting.
• At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and follow assembly instructions.
• Technically minded, practical and self‑driven.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Good English communication skills and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic hand tools.
• Basic computer operation skills.
