About the role

Old Mutual is seeking self‑motivated, dynamic individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit to join its team as Aspiring Financial Advisers. Based in Pietermaritzburg, you will help customers achieve their long‑term financial goals by understanding their needs and delivering tailored advice.

Key responsibilities

• Identify clients’ financial needs through consultative conversations.
• Provide sound, unbiased financial advice and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Develop and implement “fit‑for‑purpose” financial plans.
• Maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with customers.
• Track and report on sales activities and client outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum NQF Level 5 qualification (Higher, Advanced or Occupational Certificate) or equivalent.
• Strong entrepreneurial drive and self‑motivation.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to delivering value.

Required skills

• Experience with sales software tools.
• Ability to manage sales data effectively.
