Artisan Fitter

About the role

AbInBev is looking for an Artisan Fitter in Vops, Caledon. The key purpose of the role is to provide specialised artisan skill and knowledge to the Production team, supporting operations and maintenance and taking part in problem-solving activities. The position is on Band X.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment and comply with safe, health and environmental procedures and legislation.
• Maintain safe and housekeeping standards.
• Maintain, repair and optimise plant; locate plant equipment, spares and relevant documentation and systems.
• Plan and prepare jobs and carry out repairs and maintenance.
• Continuously improve plant, process, equipment and systems.
• Work in teams, communicate effectively and contribute to self and team development.
• Ensure effective handovers for continuity and take responsibility for team processes and goals.
• Take part in Autonomous Operations to support technical skills transfer.
• Share individual learning and receive coaching for team members.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Minimum N4 plus trade-tested Fitter / Fitter and Turner.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years in a manufacturing production environment.
• 1 to 2 years of technical mechanical experience in a FMCG environment.
• After-hours standby requirements apply.
