Artisan Assistant (Rigger) – B1

About the role

The Artisan Assistant (Rigger) supports safe and efficient mining operations by assisting with equipment rigging, maintenance, and installation tasks. You will work on‑site, following strict safety procedures and contributing to production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to safe work procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Report safety‑related issues to the appropriate authority.
• Assist in achieving sustainable production targets by executing delegated tasks.
• Support daily maintenance activities, both scheduled and unscheduled.
• Help install, repair, and maintain equipment according to standards.
• Identify faults and report them to the supervisor.
• Maintain general housekeeping and order on the worksite.

Required profile

• Grade 10A or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of mining work experience.
• Medically fit to work at surface level and at heights.

Required skills

• Rigging techniques.
• Equipment installation and maintenance.
• Use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
