Area Supervisor – Electronic Systems (Limpopo)

About the role

The Area Supervisor will lead a team of technicians responsible for the installation, maintenance and certification of electronic systems on mining sites in Limpopo. You will ensure work complies with safety, quality and contractual standards while supporting customers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise technical installation, repair, certification and support of electronic products and systems on mines.
• Set up, test and verify equipment to meet specified requirements and conduct quality checks.
• Troubleshoot issues, determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Manage stock ordering, inventory and maintenance of electronic equipment and software.
• Control technical staff rosters, arrange replacements and monitor attendance.
• Operate hand tools and small power tools safely and efficiently.
• Liaise with customers and site personnel to ensure safety, quality and contractual compliance.
• Prepare and submit documentation, reports and paperwork for the mine and internal coordinators.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, risk assessments and maintain valid inductions.

Required profile

• N6 electronics or trade test and a Management Diploma.
• 6‑8 years experience as a technician in electronics (hardware & software) and IT (hardware, networks, software).
• 3‑5 years experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Knowledge of company products, Labour Relations Act, and company policies.
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office) and a valid driver’s licence with own vehicle.
