Area Sales Manager - Leisure

About the role

The Area Sales Manager – Leisure will drive new business opportunities and support existing accounts across Accor’s leisure portfolio, including Pullman Cape Town City Centre, Movenpick Windhoek, Mercure Windhoek and the Windhoek International Convention Centre. This role ensures alignment with Accor standards and legal requirements while delivering quality service to guests and prospects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
• Act as brand ambassador for all assigned hotels and cross‑sell across locations.
• Develop new commercial relationships and revenue streams within the assigned territory.
• Set and achieve new business targets based on budget and strategy.
• Analyze leisure segment performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Prepare quotes, negotiate prices and finalize contracts.
• Participate in trade shows, conventions and promotional events.
• Sell to external markets covering corporate events, meetings, conferences, receptions, exhibitions and other events.
• Maintain and grow a portfolio of local and global accounts.
• Achieve targets for new active accounts, room nights, banquet covers and revenue.
• Record account plans and activities in ANAIS, keeping information up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the local hospitality market and global accounts.
• Proven ability to negotiate and close contracts.
• Experience in account management and revenue growth.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work independently and support sales and operational teams.
