Architectural Technologist / Draughtsperson – Cape Town

About the role

Join a well‑established architectural practice in Cape Town as an Architectural Technologist or Draughtsperson. You will work on a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential projects, producing high‑quality documentation and supporting the design team throughout all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare architectural drawings and technical documentation using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Produce municipal submission, tender, and construction drawings.
• Assist with project documentation across concept, design development, and construction stages.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure design intent.
• Ensure drawings comply with client requirements, statutory regulations, and industry standards.
• Attend project meetings and site inspections as needed.
• Resolve technical detailing and drawing queries.
• Contribute to delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Architectural Technologist or Draughtsperson.
• Strong technical detailing and construction documentation skills.
• Knowledge of South African building regulations and construction methods.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and time‑management abilities.
