Architectural Draughtsman (Full-Time)

About the role

ADQ Engineering is looking for a meticulous Architectural Draughtsman to produce accurate drawings and documentation for residential, commercial and industrial projects. The role involves collaborating with architects, project managers and engineering consultants to ensure all deliverables meet client expectations, municipal regulations and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings and plans using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Assist architects and project managers with technical documentation and drawing revisions.
• Ensure all drawings comply with municipal regulations, SANS standards, building regulations and internal drafting standards.
• Coordinate drawings with engineering disciplines and external consultants.
• Prepare submission packages for municipal approval and conduct site measurements when required.
• Maintain drawing registers, project documentation and as‑built drawings.
• Deliver all drawings within project deadlines.

Required profile

• Relevant draughting qualification or certification.
• 3–5 years of experience in architectural drafting.
• Strong understanding of building regulations and construction detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work quickly and independently.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within South Africa.
