Airline Technical Stores Manager

About the role

Cemair is seeking a dynamic, results‑driven Airline Technical Stores Manager to oversee store operations at O.R. Tambo International Airport. The role combines procurement, inventory control, and people management to ensure seamless support for flight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Procure equipment, spares, tools and consumables efficiently.
• Coordinate with internal departments on all stock‑related matters.
• Manage order timelines, ETA’s and proactively communicate any delivery issues.
• Negotiate with suppliers, vendors and service providers.
• Maintain 100% accurate month‑end stock‑in‑hand figures and physical stock movements.
• Oversee system and stock‑sheet data management.
• Optimize stock levels, back‑orders and availability.
• Ensure logistics processes comply with legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Arrange timely courier of stock to outstations and keep stores clean and orderly.
• Manage stock counts, rack labeling and warranty administration.
• Lead HR functions including resource planning, recruitment, development and discipline.

Required profile

• South African citizen or permanent resident with no criminal record.
• Experience in stores, preferably within an aviation environment.
• Strong communication, reporting and time‑management abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• People‑management skills.
