About the role
As an intern with the KZN Department of Agriculture, you will work alongside experienced professionals across diverse agricultural fields. The program offers exposure to multiple departments, real project contributions, mentorship, and insight into cutting‑edge agricultural practices.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in field research and data collection for crop production, livestock management, or agricultural economics.
- Support agricultural extension services by engaging with farmers and communities to provide guidance.
- Collaborate with departmental teams to develop and implement sustainable agricultural initiatives.
- Conduct analysis and reporting on agricultural trends, market dynamics, and industry developments.
- Assist in administrative tasks, documentation, and project coordination as required.
Required profile
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, or related fields.
- Passionate about the agricultural sector with a strong desire to learn and contribute.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Basic knowledge of agricultural practices, crop production, livestock management, or related areas is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
