About the role
AFGRI Farmer Development is offering a hands‑on internship for students enrolled in a National Diploma in Agriculture (Crop Production) or Agriculture (Irrigation Systems). The placement is at the Vastfontein Farm in Pretoria North, providing a real‑world environment to apply classroom knowledge.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the farm team with daily crop production activities.
- Support monitoring and maintenance of irrigation systems.
- Collect field data and contribute to basic reporting.
- Participate in farm safety and sustainability practices.
- Undertake miscellaneous tasks relevant to the department’s operations.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in a National Diploma program for Agriculture – Crop Production or Irrigation Systems.
- Strong interest in practical agricultural work.
- Ability to work on‑site at Vastfontein Farm.
