Agile Consultant I Contract

About the role

iqbusiness is seeking experienced Scrum Masters, Agile Consultants and Agile Coaches for contract opportunities. This role offers the opportunity to create meaningful client impact by enabling improved delivery outcomes through the practical application of Agile values, principles, and ways of working.

Key responsibilities

• Place the customer at the centre of decisions, apply pragmatic problem‑solving, engage with business and delivery stakeholders, and operate effectively within complex organisational and governance environments.
• Apply Agile values and principles to guide ways of working, create a safe supportive environment for teams, encourage effective communication and demonstrate resilience in ambiguous client settings.
• Coach individuals and teams to improve Agile maturity, promote servant‑leadership, support organisational change initiatives and drive continuous improvement through inspection and adaptation.
• Contribute to knowledge‑sharing within the iqbusiness Agility team, stay informed of trends such as DevOps, SAFe and emerging technologies like AI, and apply Agile experience to evolving client needs.

Required profile

• Matric qualification and a relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s degree, diploma or equivalent).
• One or more recognised Agile certifications (e.g., CSP, CSM, PSM I/II, PMI‑ACP).
• Minimum three years’ experience working within an Agile team as a Scrum Master or development team member.
• Solid understanding of Agile frameworks and practices, including Scrum, Kanban and Lean Software Development.
• Additional Agile, coaching or scaling certifications and consulting experience are advantageous.
