Advancing Financial Adviser – Richards Bay & Surrounds

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking an Advancing Financial Adviser to serve clients in the Richards Bay, Empangeni, Esikhawini and surrounding areas. The role focuses on delivering consultative financial advice, building strong customer relationships and driving sales of appropriate financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultative selling and financial advice to clients.
• Identify customer needs and translate engagements into sales opportunities.
• Manage and strengthen customer relationships through effective follow‑up.
• Analyse client information to recommend suitable long‑term insurance and investment solutions.
• Ensure compliance with FAIS and other regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• At least 12 months experience as a Financial Adviser in financial services.
• Completion of Long‑term Insurance Class of Business; additional FAIS qualifications (e.g., Investments Class, RE5) are advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence, own car, and clear criminal and credit checks.
• Proven computer literacy, excellent written and verbal communication, and strong planning abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, business acumen, resilience and tenacity.
