Advancing Financial Adviser – Port Elizabeth

About the role

Old Mutual is looking for an Advancing Financial Adviser to join its Port Elizabeth office. The successful candidate will provide financial and insurance advice to clients, helping them meet their long‑term financial goals while supporting Old Mutual’s growth across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consultative financial advice and insurance solutions to individual and business clients.
• Identify client needs, evaluate information and propose appropriate long‑term insurance and investment products.
• Maintain compliance with FAIS regulations, including completion of required examinations and certifications.
• Manage customer relationships, capture sales opportunities and record sales data using the company’s sales software.
• Provide feedback on customer experience and contribute to continuous improvement of service delivery.

Required profile

• Matriculation certificate (or equivalent).
• At least 12 months of experience as a Financial Adviser in the financial services sector.
• Completion of Long‑term Insurance Class of Business; additional FAIS qualifications such as Investments Class of Business or RE5 are advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle and a clear criminal and credit record.
