About the role

Old Mutual is recruiting an Advancing Financial Adviser based in the Pietermaritzburg, Howick and surrounding areas. The role suits someone who wants to turn customer engagements into sales through consultative selling and strong customer relationships.

Required profile

Minimum of Matric or equivalent (NQF Level 4).
At least 12 months' financial services experience as a Financial Adviser.
Completion of the Long-term Insurance Class of Business.
Additional FAIS requirements such as Investments Class of Business, RE5 and an FSCA-approved qualification are advantageous.
Valid driver's licence and own car, and a clear criminal and credit check.

Required skills

Consultative selling, strategic selling and sales data management.
Sales software and oral communications.
Identifying customer needs and sales opportunities, qualifying prospects and managing customer feedback.
Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and planning skills.
