Advancing Financial Adviser – Pietermaritzburg/Greytown/Howick

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking an Advancing Financial Adviser to serve clients in Pietermaritzburg, Greytown and Howick. You will provide consultative financial advice, promote long‑term insurance and investment solutions, and help customers achieve their financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tailored financial advice to individuals and families.
• Promote and sell long‑term insurance and investment products in line with FAIS regulations.
• Analyse client information, identify needs and propose appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Build and nurture long‑term client relationships to drive repeat business.

Required profile

• Minimum Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• At least 12 months experience as a Financial Adviser in the financial services sector.
• Completion of a Long‑term Insurance Class of Business.
• Additional FAIS qualifications such as Investments Class of Business, RE5 examination or other FSCA‑approved credentials are advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle, and clear criminal and credit checks.
• Strong computer literacy, excellent written and verbal communication, and solid planning and organisational abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, business acumen, resilience and the ability to translate client engagements into sales.
