About the role

Old Mutual is recruiting an Advancing Financial Adviser based in the Pietermaritzburg, Estcourt and Howick area. The role suits candidates who want to build their career in financial services, with appointments made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan.

Required profile

Minimum of Matric or equivalent (NQF Level 4).
At least 12 months' financial services experience as a Financial Adviser.
Completion of the Long-term Insurance Class of Business.
Additional FAIS requirements such as Investments Class of Business, RE5 and an FSCA-approved qualification are advantageous.
Valid driver's licence and own car, and a clear criminal and credit check.

Required skills

Proven computer literacy and excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to collate, analyse and synthesise information, with sound planning and organising.
Consultative selling, identifying customer needs and sales opportunities, and managing customer relationships.
Sales data management and sales software.
