Advancing Financial Adviser – Customer Service & Sales

About the role

Old Mutual is looking for an Advancing Financial Adviser to join its Polokwane team. In this full‑time position you will provide advice on a defined range of financial products, serve a specific market segment and be directly accountable for meeting sales targets through proactive customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver standard customer service, handling routine inquiries and directing complex issues to senior colleagues.
• Assess compliance with internal standards and external regulatory protocols for routine requests.
• Receive and assist visitors, providing information and escalating when necessary.
• Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system, noting follow‑up actions and outcomes of each sales call.
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify needs and identify suitable solutions.
• Prospect new customers through telephone and face‑to‑face outreach, building relationships and generating leads.
• Support business development activities by following established procedures and documenting data in spreadsheets.
• Adhere to mandatory operational and compliance procedures to ensure quality and regulatory adherence.

Required profile

• Ability to follow scripted sales processes and ask probing questions.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Attention to detail when updating customer information and recording actions.
• Willingness to work independently while meeting individual performance targets.
