Advancing Financial Adviser – Butterworth

About the role

We are seeking an Advancing Financial Adviser to join Old Mutual in Butterworth and surrounding areas. The role focuses on delivering tailored financial advice, building strong client relationships, and driving sales of our financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultative financial advice to clients and identify appropriate solutions.
• Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship building.
• Manage the end‑to‑end sales process, from client engagement to policy issuance.
• Analyse client needs and financial information to recommend suitable products.
• Maintain accurate records and use sales software to track performance.

Required profile

• Minimum Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• At least 12 months of financial services experience as a Financial Adviser.
• Completion of Long‑term Insurance Class of Business; additional FAIS qualifications (Investments Class of Business, RE5) are advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence and own car.
• Clear criminal and credit check.
• Computer literacy and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Planning, organising, analytical and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Business acumen, grit, resilience, tenacity and excellent listening abilities.
