Advancing Financial Adviser (Aliwal North, Theunissen, Ladybrand, Ficksburg)

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking an Advancing Financial Adviser to support customers across Aliwal North, Theunissen, Ladybrand and Ficksburg. You will be the first point of contact for clients, helping them understand financial products and ensuring a high level of service throughout their journey.

Key responsibilities

• Provide standard customer service, handling routine inquiries and directing complex matters to senior colleagues.
• Assess compliance with internal standards and external regulatory codes for routine requests.
• Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system and document follow‑up actions.
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify their financial needs.
• Prospect and develop relationships with potential customers through calls and in‑person visits.
• Support business development tasks and follow established procedures.
• Identify sales opportunities by gathering referrals and recommendations from existing clients.
• Enter and manage data in spreadsheets or standard formats.
• Participate in networking activities both within and outside the organisation.

Required profile

• National Qualification Framework (NQF) Level 5 – Higher, Advanced or Occupational Certificate, or an equivalent qualification.
