Advanced Life Support Paramedic – Industrial Site

About the role

The Advanced Life Support (ALS) Paramedic will be based at an industrial site, responding to emergency calls and delivering advanced medical care in line with the scope of practice for ALS providers. The role is part of ER24 ES Glencore Marefe Steelpoort and supports the health and safety of workers on site.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure operational readiness for emergency calls.
• Administer patient care according to ALS scope of practice.
• Promote and maintain a positive public image for ER24.
• Provide basic shift administration services.

Required profile

• Critical Care Assistant (CCA) or National Diploma/Diploma in Emergency Medical Care.
• Training in Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (advantageous).
• Newly qualified ALS with operational EMS experience (minimum).
• Preferably 1 year of ALS operational experience.

Required skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of EMS environment, facilities, travel routes and demographic area.
• Understanding of HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice.
• Ability to complete patient report forms and apply best practice.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
