ADT, FEL & Excavator Operators – Permanent Positions

About the role

EXXARO LEEUWPAN COAL MINE is urgently hiring permanent staff for a range of positions at its Delmas site in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Candidates will join the mining operation in roles such as machine operators, drivers, safety officers and various trades.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy mining equipment safely and efficiently, including ADT, FEL, excavators, front‑end loaders and dump trucks.
• Maintain equipment, perform basic repairs and report any faults to maintenance teams.
• Follow all safety and environmental procedures and contribute to a safe workplace.

Required profile

• South African citizenship.
• Minimum Grade 10/12 education and fluent English (read, write, speak).
• Pass pre‑employment medical examination and, where required, a physical fitness assessment.

Required skills

• ADT operation.
• FEL operation.
• Excavator operation.
• Front‑end loader operation.
• Dump truck operation.
• Driving licence Code 10‑14 with valid PDP.
• Basic hand and power‑tool usage.
• Electrical, diesel mechanic, fitting & turning, boilermaking and welding skills for trade positions.
