Actuarial Analyst – Parametric Crop Insurance

About the role

The Actuarial Analyst – Parametric Insurance will be based at Alice Lane and report to the Business Head of ROA and Parametric Crop Insurance. The role provides actuarial expertise to design, price, monitor, report on and ensure the sustainability of parametric insurance products for the agricultural sector.

Key responsibilities

• Support product innovation by developing parametric crop insurance solutions, analysing weather and satellite data, and maintaining pricing methodologies.
• Develop and enhance actuarial pricing models, conduct pricing reviews, monitor profitability, and perform scenario testing.
• Design and optimise reinsurance structures, analyse portfolio exposures, and evaluate treaty performance.
• Build dashboards, actuarial monitoring tools, and provide data‑driven insights for strategic projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics.
• At least 5 years of actuarial experience in short‑term insurance, reinsurance or a related field.
• Proven experience in product design and insurance pricing.
