Accounts Receivable Officer

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Officer will support the AR function by ensuring accurate processing, allocation and reconciliation of receipts, and by managing unapplied and unidentified balances. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to resolve queries promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Extract bank transactions daily and process receipts for allocated accounts.
• Perform receipt corrections, reversals and reallocations in line with controls.
• Capture and allocate receipts accurately and run statement scheduling for Durban and Pietermaritzburg.
• Process rounding adjustments, write‑ups and balancing entries, ensuring proper authorisation.
• Maintain client receipt references and compile weekly AR meeting minutes.
• Investigate and resolve unapplied and unidentified receipts, sharing reports via SharePoint.
• Manage ServiceNow service requests, assign tickets, monitor progress and present dashboard updates at AR meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a professional services environment.
• First‑degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Experience in a Shared Service Environment is advantageous.
