Accounts Clerk – Global Grade 07

About the role

The Accounts Clerk (Global Grade 07) will act as the custodian for Barloworld Corporate Office's local and foreign creditor relationships. The role ensures that accounting standards and internal controls are applied to all supplier transactions, providing accurate financial information to the business.

Key responsibilities

• Process all local and foreign creditor invoices on SAP/VIM.
• Handle inter‑company invoices and complete monthly balance confirmations.
• Perform monthly vendor reconciliations for local creditors.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cash forecasts and monitor deviation ratios.
• Execute vendor payments and issue timely remittance advices.
• Process accruals, reconcile payments, and post routine and non‑routine journal entries.
• Maintain and clear GR/IR accounts.
• Address invoice and payment queries with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support ad‑hoc requests from management and provide documentation for audits.

Required profile

• Minimum BCom/Diploma in Accounting or equivalent; Matric or equivalent qualification.
• At least two years of experience in an accounts payable environment.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, internal controls and financial reporting.
• Good problem‑solving, teamwork and ethical behaviour.
