Accounting and EMS Teacher – Full‑time Permanent

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time permanent Accounting and EMS Teacher to join the Academic department of a residential boarding school for girls in Meyerton, Gauteng. The successful candidate will deliver Accounting and related Humanities or Commercial subjects to Grades 10‑12, preparing learners for the IEB NSC examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Accounting curriculum and any Humanities/Commercial subjects, including Business Studies where applicable.
• Teach Grade 12 learners in the GDE/IEB stream and undertake NSC marking.
• Provide pastoral care and support co‑curricular and extra‑curricular activities as required.
• Participate actively in the broader life of the Academy and uphold its values of Respect, Honour, Compassion, Service, Responsibility and Accountability.
• Engage with the Neurosequential Model in Education (NME) and integrate it into teaching practice.

Required profile

• B.Ed degree with a specialization in Accounting (or equivalent), a postgraduate certificate in education and registration with SACE.
• Three to five years of teaching experience in a school setting, delivering Accounting and at least one Humanities or Commercial subject.
• Demonstrated experience teaching the GDE/IEB curriculum at Grade 12 and marking NSC examinations.
