Accountant – Mining Sector (CA(SA) Qualified)

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee key accounting functions, including month‑end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Apply and interpret IFRS, with specific exposure to IFRS 9.
• Account for foreign exchange transactions and hedging activities.
• Prepare and review technical accounting papers and provide input on complex accounting matters.
• Drive and support finance automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Support audits, statutory reporting and other accounting and financial reporting requirements.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification.
• 3+ years post‑articles experience.
• Strong technical accounting and IFRS knowledge, specifically IFRS 9.
• Experience with foreign exchange and hedging (preferred).
• Experience preparing technical accounting papers.
• Mining industry experience is essential.
