Accountant – Corporate Portfolio

About the role

A dynamic financial services and tax advisory firm based in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced accountant to manage a large portfolio of corporate clients in the southern part of the city. The role is high‑pressure and client‑focused, requiring strong technical competence and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Full‑cycle bookkeeping and preparation of Annual Financial Statements for multiple clients.
• Manage debtor and creditor accounts, perform bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Provide basic tax and payroll support when required.
• Liaise extensively with clients across various industries.
• Ensure all deliverables are completed within set deadlines while working under pressure.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting firm handling diverse client portfolios.
• SAICA or SAIPA articles completed.
• BCom degree or equivalent qualification.
• Own car and a valid driver’s licence for client visits.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
