Accountant / Bookkeeper (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper who enjoys client‑facing work and possesses strong technical accounting knowledge. The role is fully remote and involves managing financial reporting, supporting clients with complex financial instruments, and collaborating directly with leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping and accounting tasks for assigned clients.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Support clients with commercial loans, investments, merchant cash advances, and brokerage/portfolio management.
• Use QuickBooks Online and other cloud‑based platforms on a daily basis.
• Communicate proactively with clients, delivering clear financial insights and recommendations.
• Contribute to process improvements and a tech‑driven approach.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–5 years post‑traineeship experience in accounting/bookkeeping.
• At least one long‑term assignment (minimum 1 year) with a US‑based client.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience in FinTech, Financial Services, or Insurance agencies is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Tech‑savvy, proactive, and highly organized.
