Accountant – Bookkeeper (Finance Team)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our Finance team in Sandton, reporting to the Financial Manager. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting compliance and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and maintain daily financial transactions, journals, invoices, and expenses.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments and customer collections.
• Perform bank, creditor, debtor, and cash reconciliations.
• Process payroll‑related entries and ensure statutory deductions are recorded correctly.
• Assist with VAT calculations, submissions, and statutory reporting.
• Maintain financial records and filing systems in line with company policies.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Monitor cash flow and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance.
• 4–7 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of VAT and South African financial regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Acumatica accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

What we offer

• Salary up to CTC R35 000 per month.
