About the role
SRG Recruitment is advertising a full-time Accountant position in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, for a candidate holding a BCom in Accounting. The role covers day-to-day accounting work, including record keeping, reconciliations and management accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting entries
- Perform monthly reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Manage general ledger accounts and ensure accurate allocation of transactions
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies and procedures
Required profile
- BCom degree in Accounting
- Minimum of three years' relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliations
