Account Supervisor

About the role

Mediclinic is recruiting one Account Supervisor for its Vereeniging site, working on-site in a permanent position. The role supervises the daily operations of the Accounts Department so that the department and company goals are achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and develop team members.
• Ensure compliance with best practice to achieve set goals.
• Make sure billing submission and receipting processes follow best practice.
• Ensure patient records are kept safely and confidentially.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent (desirable education: none).
• Previous supervisory experience or exposure.
• Desirable: understanding of the private healthcare industry, including in-hospital patient administration, basic HR principles, and business-to-business processes.
• Knowledge of medical scheme policies, rules, regulations and tariff rules and structures.
• Knowledge of debt collection legislation such as the National Credit Act and Consumer Protection Act.

Required skills

• HR policies, systems, procedures and relevant legislation, including recruitment and performance management.
• Sound financial knowledge, such as reconciliations, debits and credits and adjustment journals.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office.
