Account Manager – Smart Infrastructure (Cape Town)

About the role

The Account Manager will drive sales of Smart Infrastructure solutions across municipalities, utilities, industrial facilities and private sector projects in Cape Town and the surrounding region. You will act as the primary commercial interface, building strong relationships with engineers, developers and decision‑makers to deliver sustainable, electrified infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets for medium and low voltage switchgear, substation automation, microgrids and electrification solutions.
• Identify, qualify and manage opportunities across the Smart Infrastructure portfolio, preparing technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline, provide accurate forecasts and manage CRM data.
• Coordinate project execution, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the lifecycle.
• Promote after‑market services, maintenance contracts and service opportunities to expand the installed base.
• Analyse market trends, customer needs and public‑sector procurement cycles to uncover new business.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 2‑4 years of sales experience within Smart Infrastructure, power distribution or related fields.
• Experience working with municipalities, utilities, EPC contractors or large private‑sector organisations is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the region.
