Account Manager – Retail Category Management

About the role

The Account Manager will oversee signed customer contracts, develop and execute project plans, and drive growth opportunities within a retail environment. You will act as the primary liaison between clients and DotActiv, ensuring contract renewal, proper close‑out, and continuous performance optimisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct scoping sessions with customers and prepare data for the scanner.
  • Receive scanner input, manage data, and build detailed shelf plans.
  • Obtain customer approval for shelf plans and hand them over.
  • Create and manage project plans from initiation to completion.
  • Identify and pursue contract renewal, extension, and upsell opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure administrative excellence.
  • Optimise individual and team performance, supporting all HR functions.

Required profile

  • Consumer Science, Commerce or a related degree from an accredited university.
  • 2–3 years of proven business and staff management experience, preferably in retail.
  • Business‑level proficiency in English (spoken, written, and read).
  • Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle for on‑site client visits.
  • Own a Windows‑based laptop (laptop allowance provided).

Required skills

  • Windows OS proficiency.
