Account Manager - Lusophone Africa (Portuguese Speaking)

About the role

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is looking for an Account Manager in Lusophone Africa (Portuguese-speaking) based in Johannesburg. The team manages and grows the existing customer portfolio across Africa within the Risk business, supported by Account Managers who nurture and expand the broader book of business. You will build long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and influencers across a portfolio of channel partner accounts, create demand for products and services, and drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key senior-level decision-makers and influencers within assigned channel partner accounts.
• Identify, develop and close new sales opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
• Create demand for products and services by raising awareness and profile with customers.
• Achieve revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account.
• Hold regular status and strategy meetings with senior customer stakeholders to understand business needs and align solutions.
• Develop and execute territory and account plans aligned with wider sales objectives.
• Monitor and manage resources effectively within the overall sales plan.
• Support team success by training new team members and contributing to performance evaluations where required.

Required profile

• Experience building and managing relationships with senior-level customer stakeholders.
• Ability to identify, develop and close sales opportunities within assigned accounts.
• Experience planning and executing territory or account strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts of moderate complexity.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to support and develop team members.
