Account Executive – Drive New Revenue in HR Tech

About the role

Jem, a fast‑growing HR‑tech scale‑up in South Africa, is looking for an Account Executive to own the full sales cycle and drive new revenue from employer customers. The role is hybrid, based in Johannesburg, and focuses on acquiring, closing and expanding high‑quality accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, qualify and engage new employer customers through cold outreach, networking and referrals.
• Run discovery calls, product demos and tailored presentations.
• Manage the end‑to‑end sales process, from first contact to signed contract, including negotiations and deal structuring.
• Maintain accurate CRM data, forecasts and pipeline health.
• Provide market and competitor insights to product and leadership teams.

Required profile

• Proven track record in B2B SaaS or technology sales with consistent quota achievement.
• Self‑directed, resilient and comfortable owning deals with minimal oversight.
• Strong negotiation, objection‑handling and relationship‑building abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving scale‑up environment.
