About the role

Growthpoint, South Africa's largest JSE-listed REIT, is recruiting a 2027 graduate for its Facilities Management - Retail Gauteng programme, based in Sandton, Johannesburg. The 12-month experience offers real responsibilities, impactful projects and continuous learning across the company's property portfolio, with exposure to different teams and off-site operations. A role-specific learnership is part of the journey, and a Senior Manager provides direction, feedback and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Apply academic knowledge in real-world settings and collaborate with industry leaders on long-term projects.
• Solve real problems by improving service delivery and driving innovation.
• Craft reports, briefings, articles and presentations, and deliver business reports tailored to different audiences.
• Monitor progress and review action plans to support strategic implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, project groups and stakeholders, and contribute to business planning and strategic conversations.
• Take ownership of your own development with support from mentors and peers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (NQF 7) in Construction, Building Science or Civil Engineering, or another qualification aligned to the property and built environment sectors.
• Analytical mindset, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
• Deadline-driven, with good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work after hours or on weekends when required, and to handle sensitive matters discreetly.

Required skills

• Confidence with digital tools, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
