Strategic Key Account Manager

About the role

Take ownership of strategic customer partnerships for major logistics accounts, turning data into measurable business value. You will be the primary interface between the organisation and its customers, developing multi‑year strategies, protecting profitability and driving growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own multi‑year strategic account plans, joint business plans and growth roadmaps.
• Lead executive engagement, governance forums, quarterly business reviews and strategic planning sessions.
• Own commercial performance including revenue growth, margins, pricing, cost recovery and leakage reduction.
• Analyse profitability, cost‑to‑serve, margins and operational data to identify risks and growth opportunities.
• Create business cases, commercial models and proposals, managing the opportunity pipeline.
• Provide governance over operational performance such as OTIF, DIFOT, fill rates and inventory accuracy.

Required profile

• Matric/Grade 12 and a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce or related field.
• Minimum five years’ experience in Key Account Management, Commercial Management or Supply Chain.
• Proven experience managing strategic customer relationships and developing business cases.
• Strong analytical capability with experience in profitability and cost‑to‑serve modelling.
• Valid Code EB driver’s licence and ability to travel for face‑to‑face engagements.
