Senior Engineer

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a Senior Engineer to join its Service Department. The role focuses on system and PCI service, repairs, and engineering solution projects such as upgrades, EXA packages, and Foundation Fieldbus implementations. You will work closely with business units and the Senior Manager, TSD, to ensure reliable service delivery and support the company’s sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 coverage for system support contracts within the assigned region.
• Execute service projects and annual maintenance contracts, including upgrades, migrations, and EXA package implementations.
• Offer technical support on Systems, PCI, and IT solutions for internal and external customers.
• Perform fault finding, testing, minor repairs, and schedule service notes and memos.
• Assist the Sales team with technically sound proposals, tender documents, and bid submissions.
• Deliver system training and ensure familiarity with the latest Distributed Control System versions.
• Report monthly to the Senior Manager and liaise with clients to gather required information.
• Maintain compliance with service administration procedures and support any additional tasks as directed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in system and PCI service within an industrial automation environment.
• Ability to work on a 24/7 on‑call schedule and respond to emergency call‑outs.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration.
• Willingness to train colleagues and share expertise.

Required skills

• Distributed Control Systems (DCS) knowledge.
• PCI hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Experience with EXA packages, Foundation Fieldbus, and system upgrades.
• Service contract management and documentation.
• IT assistance and basic networking concepts.
