Production Learner – Entry Level Manufacturing Role

About the role

As a Production Learner you will join Givaudan’s manufacturing team and work under direct supervision to execute production orders. This entry‑level position provides hands‑on training across a range of equipment while you complete a structured learnership program.

Key responsibilities

• Operate designated machines such as blenders, sieves, spray dryers, batching systems, reactors, packaging lines, ovens, mills, distillation columns and encapsulation units.
• Collect and load raw materials, follow bill‑of‑materials specifications, and add ingredients in the correct sequence.
• Manufacture products safely and on schedule, adhering to predefined process instructions and quality standards.
• Read control instruments, record operational data accurately, and assist with in‑process quality testing.
• Identify and document deviations, communicate them per SOPs, and support basic troubleshooting.
• Prepare product packaging for subsequent production steps or final shipment.
• Maintain a clean, orderly shop floor and perform required sanitation and housekeeping duties.
• Follow all relevant regulations and internal guidelines, including GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA and USDA.

Required profile

• Willingness to work under supervision and follow established procedures.
• Commitment to attend classroom training and successfully complete the learnership program.
• Basic understanding of safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

• Operation of blenders and sieves.
• Operation of spray dryer and batching systems.
• Operation of multi‑purpose reactors and spinning cone columns.
• Handling of bulk tanks and Roxane robots.
• Operation of packaging systems, ovens, mills, distillation columns and encapsulation equipment.
• Basic GMP compliance.
• Basic HACCP knowledge.
