Senior Director of People – Southern Africa

About the role

The Senior Director of People will lead the execution of DP World’s Africa People Strategy across Southern Africa. Partnering with senior business leaders, you will shape people initiatives that drive productivity, engagement and talent development throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Implement tactical people strategies covering leadership capability, workforce performance, employee engagement and talent management.
• Collaborate with business leaders to source talent in line with the Africa diversity and inclusion agenda.
• Work with the Learning Centre of Excellence to deliver programs that build current and future‑fit capabilities.
• Drive productivity improvements and embed a performance‑driven culture while keeping employees motivated.
• Ensure quality across the HR value chain and uphold DP World’s culture regionally.
• Deliver business unit metrics and promote the strategic value of HR initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years in senior HR leadership or specialist roles.
• Strong generalist HR background with extensive change‑management experience.
• Proven labour‑relations expertise.
• Eligibility to work in the country of employment.
