About the role
We are seeking a driven Retail Key Account Manager to join our fast‑growing technology distribution team in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with major retail partners, promoting a portfolio of consumer electronics, smart‑home solutions and gaming accessories.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute account strategies aligned with sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers and retail buyers.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and account plans for relevant brands.
- Identify growth opportunities, negotiate commercial deals and expand product listings.
- Monitor sales performance, analyse trends and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with marketing to launch promotional campaigns with measurable ROI.
- Ensure effective stock planning and inventory management in partnership with internal teams.
- Provide market, customer and competitor insights to support strategic decisions.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing large retail accounts in the consumer electronics sector.
- Strong relationships with general‑merchandise retail buyers.
- Commercially minded with a solid understanding of the technology market.
- Ability to develop strategic account plans and drive profitability.
